Standards Awards are presented to individuals, and one Committee, who have made significant contributions to standardisation and who have demonstrated outstanding service in enabling Standards Australia to attain the objectives for which it was founded – to enrich the quality of life of all Australians.
Award recipients were selected on criteria including:
- input and participation in committee meetings and deliberations;
- contribution to problem solving and conflict resolution;
- involvement in national and international Standards work;
- research work; and
- advocacy of Standards and standardisation.
The recipients for the National and International Meritorious Contribution Awards and the recipient for the Outstanding Service Award are chosen by a selection group made up of Senior Project Managers. This group also identified the Committee who received the Outstanding Committee Award.
