International Blockchain Conference

Standards Australia’s International Blockchain Conference on 6 April 2017 was a flagship event featuring speakers from throughout Asia, Europe, Australia and the Americas.

The event program can be viewed here.

The event followed the world first meeting of ISO/TC 307 Blockchain and electronic distributed ledger technologies (Sydney, 3 – 5 April 2017) where international blockchain experts commenced work on the development of blockchain standards for interoperability, privacy, security and identity by exploring use-cases across the financial services, supply chain, government services, technology and other key sectors.

The International Blockchain Conference and the ISO/TC 307 meeting were held in Sydney after the International Organization for Standardization approved a New Work Item Proposal by Standards Australia for the development of international standards for blockchain and allocated the secretariat for ISO/TC 307 to Australia.
