Standards Australia welcomes newest member organisation Australian Window Association

Following a resolution at a meeting of Standards Australia’s Council on Friday 22 May 2015, the Australian Window Association (AWA) has become Standards Australia’s newest member organisation and part of its Council.
76 of Australia's leading industry, government and consumer organisations form the Members of the Standards Australia Council. Each member sends a representative to the Council meetings.
The Council is responsible for the general oversight of standardisation in Australia and the governance of Standards Australia.
Ms Tracey Gramlick, Executive Director of the AWA and its representative on the Standards Australia Council, said that the AWA has always been supportive of Standards Australia’s work. The AWA has actively participated in the standards development processes by being active contributors to Standards Australia’s technical committees as well as the Standards Australia Young Leaders Program for the past two years.
“As the peak association of Australia’s window manufacturers and industry suppliers, the Australian Window Association has always been a champion of standards in the industry,” said Ms Gramlick.
“Becoming a member organisation of Standards Australia and part of the Council is a great next step which recognises our ongoing and active contribution to standards development. We are pleased to become part of the Council and have the opportunity to contribute to important decisions on Australia’s standards infrastructure,” Ms Gramlick said.
