Colin Blair
Chief Executive Officer
Colin is a civil engineer by profession, previously working as a Design Engineer in the private sector in the field of public health engineering.
 
Colin has extensive experience in the development and application of standards at both the operational and policy level. He has represented Standards Australia in high level liaison with industry, government and other standards bodies, particularly in regional (including APEC) and international forums.
 
Colin was the Chairman of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) Technical Advisory Group for Building, and is the Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Pacific Area Standards Congress.
 
Colin’s qualifications are Bachelor of Engineering (Civil), a Master of Engineering Science (Public Health Engineering) and a Master of Environmental Studies all from the University of NSW, and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Rochester, New York State. Colin is a Fellow of the Institution of Engineers Australia.
 
 
Archer Whetham
Company Secretary and Chief Financial Officer
Archer Whetham is the Company Secretary and Chief Financial Officer. Before joining Standards Australia Limited in January 2004 he held various senior financial management and company secretarial positions including director and secretary of a listed funds management company.
 
 
Adrian O’Connell
General Manager, Operations
Adrian is General Manager Operations at Standards Australia.  He has held this role since November 2007.  Prior to this he was General Manager Strategy and Stakeholder Relations for two years.  Working closely with the CEO, his responsibilities encompass operational management of: standards development; international and sector engagement; continuous improvement and innovation; and training and events management.
 
Following Australia’s election to the ISO Technical Management Board in 2011, Adrian was appointed as Australia’s representative for a three year term 2011-2013.
 
Prior to joining Standards Australia in 2006, Adrian had extensive career experience in leading and managing professional service and membership based organisations across a range of private and public sector industries. In these roles his focus has been on developing efficient service focused organisations delivering high quality outcomes for clients and members.
Adrian has previously held board positions on a number of member service companies and industry superannuation funds. Adrian holds a Bachelor of Commerce; Master of Arts; and is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
 
 
Junita Muschenko
Manager, People & Culture
Junita has over 12 years combined leadership and generalist HR experience spanning across a variety of industries such as Telecommunications, FMCG, Financial Services and Not-For-Profit.  Prior to her current appointment at Standards Australia, Junita was responsible for HR start up and growth ventures within the Childrens’ Charity sector, working with organisations such as Camp Quality and CREATE Foundation. In these roles she focussed on developing and promoting talent within the sector and across industries whilst partnering with the executive teams to embed a culture enriched with sound commercial acumen.
 
Junita’s areas of expertise include performance development and talent management; implementation of coaching and mentoring programs; leadership capacity building; and creative recruitment and resourcing strategies. Junita is a corporate mentor for young executives through Network Central and was recently nominated for the Telstra Womens’ Business Awards.
 
Junita holds a Graduate Certificate in Human Resource Management and Bachelor of Science (Psychology) from the University of New South Wales.
 
 
Nicholas Davy
Manager, Public Affairs and Communications
An experienced public affairs practitioner and lobbyist, Nicholas has represented leading corporations and organisations in managing their public profile and interface with government, media and community.
 
His previous roles include Ministerial Adviser, Chief of Staff to the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly, Public Affairs Manager at NSW Business Chamber, and Director of Commerce and Government at a public relations agency. He also held the position of Secretariat of the Consular Corps in Sydney.
 
Specialties include government lobbying; crisis management; industry advocacy; strategic counsel; media and public affairs campaigns; profile building; media relations; community and investor relations; corporate communications; Annual Reports; and reputation management.
He has a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Sydney, with triple majors in History; Government and International Relations; and Industrial Relations and Human Resource Management.
