What is the Young Leaders Program?

The Standards Australia Young Leaders Program provides 20 young leaders an exciting opportunity to become involved in the national and international standardisation processes which supports Australian industry and governments.

The program provides training and direct exposure to the standards development processes and technical committees. This involves having access to shared information and collective intelligence to develop standards that support the economy, improve safety and health, national resources and improve quality of life.

Young Leaders leave the program feeling inspired, informed, and with connections to a network of key Australian stakeholders.

What does the program offer you?

It is expected that all Young Leaders will attend and participate in the webinars, meetings and activities of the program. In addition, ongoing participation as a For Information Only member on nominated committee(s). This is to pursue forthcoming nominating organisation representation and/or further committee involvement.

The learning outcomes of the program include:

  • Gain a better understanding of standardisation
  • Gain the knowledge and expertise to participate on a technical committee
  • Gain an understanding of Nominating Organisations
