Standards Australia Limited is collecting personal information that you provide to us for the purpose of enabling us to consider the comments submitted by you by way of Public Comment. The type of information that we record will depend on the type of information that you submit to us.
It is not compulsory for you to provide us with your personal information for you to be able to participate in the Public Comment process. You may be able to participate without providing your personal information, or anonymously or under a pseudonym, and in this case no attempt will be made by us to seek to identify you (unless we are legally obliged to do so).
Generally we keep a record of the following types of information about you (if you provide it): your name, the name of the organisation that you represent, your contact details and any information that you have provided in the form of comment.
We may disclose your information (including your name, the name of the organisation that you represent and any information that you have provided in the form of comment) to technical committee members involved in the development of the relevant standard on which you are commenting and to employees and contractors of Standards Australia Limited. Members of the technical committee will not see your email address, postcode or password details. In the case of joint Australian/New Zealand standards submitted for Public Comment, your information may also be disclosed to, members of the joint Australian/New Zealand technical committee located in New Zealand and employees and contractors of Standards New Zealand. Your information may also be shared by us with third parties who provide us with administrative service support. We will not share it with any other third party (unless we are legally obliged to do so). You consent to Standards Australia using or disclosing your personal information in this way.
