Our commitment to gender equality

November 4, 2026

Statements

At Standards Australia, we are committed to gender equality and closing the gender pay gap. We recognise that meaningful, lasting change requires ongoing action.

Following the results of the recent Workplace Gender Equality Agency report, we have made progress in reducing our gender pay gap over recent years, from 15.9% in 2023–24 to 12.1% in 2024–25. In 2025–26, the gap was 12.8%, comparing favourably with industry benchmarks.

We have also made progress in gender representation across our workforce:

  • Equal pay for equal work: Employees performing the same work are paid equitably, regardless of gender.
  • More women in management: In 2025–26, women held 54% of management positions, compared with 46% held by men.
  • Gender balance in leadership: We achieved equal representation at the executive level, moving from 40% women and 60% men in previous years to a 50:50 balance in 2025–26.
  • Strong female representation: Women make up 59% of our workforce, compared with the industry benchmark of 47%.

While we are encouraged by this progress, we recognise there is more to do. We remain focused on setting measurable goals, tracking our progress and taking practical steps to further reduce the gender pay gap.

Our goal is to build an inclusive workplace where everyone has equal opportunities to grow, contribute and succeed.
