These are the products of over 1,000 recognised standards development organisations worldwide. Standards have been around a long time. Standards Australia represents our nation on the two major international standardising bodies, the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC).

We co-ordinate the attendance of Australian experts at international meetings and participate in the preparation of a wide range of international standards.
