Standards Australia launches new Training Platform supporting safer, smarter workplaces

Standards Australia has launched a new training platform designed to help professionals understand and apply Australian Standard® publications in their everyday work.

Standards Australia Training™ offers flexible, self-paced learning and is built on a foundation of expert partnerships, practical content, and real-world application.

The initiative marks a significant step in Standards Australia’s commitment to making standards more accessible, relevant, and impactful. Each course is carefully developed, including in collaboration with leading organisations, with a focus on ensuring that content is credible, current, and aligned with both national and international best practices.

“We’re proud to be working with some of the most respected names in industry, academia, and training to deliver high-quality, standards-based education. This approach not only enhances the quality of our training but also expands the reach of standards education. Offering training provides Standards Australia with another way to enable access and utilisation to important industry standards. This platform showcases our ongoing commitment to ensuring our standards are understood by those who use them,” said Adam Stingemore, Chief Development Officer, Standards Australia.

Courses available at launch include:
  • AS ISO/IEC 42001:2023 - Understanding the AI Management System Standard: Developed with the Australian National University (ANU), this course introduces the Australian identical adoption of the world first international ISO AI management system standard.
  • Constructing with Confidence - Understanding Australian Standards: Created with the Building Commission NSW and adapted for a wider audience, this course explores how standards drive safety, quality, and productivity across sectors.
  • Fire Safety Measures - Fire Doors: Developed with the Building Commission NSW, supporting compliance with fire safety requirements focusing on fire doors.
  • Plumbing Courses (AS/NZS 3500 series): Developed with Pointsbuild, offering practical guidance on plumbing standards.

More courses will be added in the coming months, covering a wide range of topics across key areas of industry, innovation and best practice.
